North America’s Garden Tourism Conference

Where Gardens and Tourism Meet to Forge Blossoming Partnerships

Started in 2009, the biennial Garden Tourism Conference, organized in collaboration with the American Public Garden Association, is where gardens, garden experiences and the tourism industry meet to discuss best practices related to the visitor experience, increasing visitorship, and tourism readiness of gardens and garden experiences as well as the integration of garden assets into tourism offerings – whether at the destination marketing organizations level or with tour operators in general. Our goal is to grow both sectors with a Garden Tourism perspective.

Garden Tourism Conference will October 20-22, 2022 in Victoria, B.C.. Check back details on Conference program.

I wanted to write and thank you again so much for including Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in the 2013 Garden Tourism Conference and for inspiring us to pursue opportunities for garden tourism. It has transformed our garden and our community. We’ve now launched a Richmond Garden Trail and are receiving great support from our tourism partners and media. There’s even a mention of it in the July 2014 issue of Better Homes & Gardens. Again, we cannot thank you enough for inspiring us and for generously sharing your wisdom and expertise.

Beth Monroe, Public Relations & Marketing Director — Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden
