Garden of the Provinces and Territories

Category: Featured Gardens
Location: Wellington St. and Bay St., Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

The Garden of the Provinces was officially opened in 1962 and was renamed the Garden of the Provinces and Territories in 2005. Two symbolic fountains highlight a display of the coats of arms and floral emblems of the provinces and territories of Canada that were created as a centennial project in 1967.

The design of this pleasant and attractive garden reflects four themes: the Prairies, the Tundra, the Woodlands, and Canadian horticultural pioneers.
